We proposed, advocated and pushed for the MTA's Baby on Board pregnancy pin pilot program.

We met with City Council Member Costa Constantinides, who then introduced Res 1514-2017, urging the MTA to add a member to the NYC Transit’s Paratransit Advisory Committee to represent pregnant women and families. Call your local City Council Member today and ask them to support this Resolution! Find your rep here: http://council.nyc.gov/districts/
Check out our Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and our blog for constant updates! We post about news related to pregnancy, parenting and accessibility for hundreds of followers, and have brought attention to tens of other businesses and organizations doing great things in line with our mission.
We host, sponsor, and participate in community events to improve accessibility, health and safety for pregnant women and families. A few of our past events include organizing a clothing drive for a women’s shelter with Bergen County Doulas, sponsoring Moms In Training, co-sponsoring the Allergy-Free Teal Table at a Halloween festival, and collaboratively hosting two park clean up events. View our full list and tangible outcomes here.
We offer businesses and organizations concrete recommendations and hands-on assistance to make events, spaces, and services family-friendly and accessible for all. For example, we recently worked with Connection Church to make their Sixth Annual Astoria Easter Egg Hunt, serving 4,000 families in two locations, accessible; they accommodated families with private breastfeeding/pumping tents, diaper changing stations, wheelchair/stroller access and stroller parking, and priority rest areas.

Product Development and Sales
We create and sell awareness items to help pregnant women and families get the accommodations they need in public spaces by connecting them with their supporters.
We have had hundreds of sales to date. Here are what some of our customers are saying:
"I commute from the Upper East Side to downtown Manhattan every day, on the 4,5,6 train. I experimented with different ways of making my commute (even a little bit) easier since finding out I was pregnant last fall — leaving home earlier, leaving home later, switching to the express train, staying on the local…nothing really made much of a difference until I got my UP-STAND pin! It’s been so great! I’ve found that many commuters will give up their seat, make room for you etc., even if it’s a really crowded train. Thank you, UP-STAND! I’ve bought pins to give as gifts to my pregnant friends that take public transportation regularly. I am really excited about this movement. And small acts of kindness from strangers, they can really make your day." – Reina, NY
"UP-STAND is an incredible company. The button I purchased is the perfect size and allows me to show my support for pregnant women and bring awareness to others to do the same. Two-thumbs up and 5-Stars!" – Kathryn, NY
"My UP-STAND pin did something miraculous - it actually created a vessel for convos on the NYC trains. I helped like six people with directions, was asked to take photos of others, and it started a conversation about selfies. Nine years and never so much action!" – Shelby, NY
