WHY DID YOU JOIN THE UP-STAND MOVEMENT?
I like the idea of “no excuses." When a pregnant woman wears the pin, there are no excuses - either you are going to stand up or you aren’t. That said, I want to make sure that I give as well; it feels communal.
WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR UP-STAND EXPERIENCE SO FAR?
It’s awesome – funny enough, I feel like folks talk to me more (so many people ask me to take their pictures or for directions). It’s like just by wearing the pin, people can sense that I am willing to take a minute out of my day to do something helpful. I feel like it makes me more approachable.

I love my move to Philly! Love the easygoing urban environment. I have family in Philly – so I’ve always loved to visit, but to call it home feels really good. That said, NYC will always be my soulmate!
